Notes About Walnut Cove's Recycling Program
 

• Recycling must be in official Town of Walnut Cove recycling bin

• Bin may be purchased at Town Hall beginning September 14, 2009.

• First bin per residence may be purchased for $3.50; each additional bin may be purchased for $7.00.

• Curbside Recycling will be picked up every other week on Monday, beginning Monday, October 5, 2009.

• Place your recycling container by the street by 7:00 AM on pick-up day.

• Please pour or wipe out contents of cans and bottles before recycling.

• Do not overfill your container.

• Please remove your container as soon as possible after recycling pick up.

• Do not put yard waste in recycling bins.

• Call Town Hall with any questions.

NOTICE OF CHANGE IN RECYCLING PICKUP 

Notice is hereby given that municipal recycling pickup dates will change to Thursday mornings beginning July 8, 2010, and will continue on a biweekly schedule with pickups taking place every other Thursday morning thereafter.  All recycling should be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM on Thursday morning pickup days. 

The last Monday afternoon recycling pickup will take place on Monday, June 28, 2010.

This change is necessary in order to keep up with increased recycling volume.  Thank you for recycling—it is our civic duty, and helps to ensure a more environmentally friendly Walnut Cove!
